Are you feeling sad a lot of the time, maybe depressed? Hopeless, and drowning in your sorrows, feeling like its pretty much over and nobody understands? Maybe you’re carrying around a guilt that’s far too heavy for you to bear alone, and you regret something that happened to you or that you did, and its dominating your life… You feel like a prisoner.
Perhaps you seem to be at a dead end in life-facing a problem or problems greater than mountains, life is darker than the blackest night, and you just don’t see any way out. At all.
I’ve got wonderful news for you, my friend!
No matter where you are in life right now, whatever your situations or problems may be, if you’ve got support or no, there is Somebody who’s looking upon you with a love like you’ve never known before. This Man’s concern for you is out of this world. Literally. His love is the greatest that is, ever was, or will be. In fact, He loves you so much that about 2,000 years ago He sacrificed Himself on a Cross, where nails were driven into his hands and feet-a crown of thorns placed upon his head. He was mocked, beaten, brutally tortured, and set to die a slow and horrific, painful death on that Cross, that he had to carry Himself to the place where He was to be crucified!
The biggest point to be made here is that this was no ordinary man who suffered through all of this. This was THE SON OF GOD! God sent Jesus Christ, His son to earth to bear all of the sins of humanity on the Cross for our redemption. Jesus is the Salvation of mankind.
For All Who Seek God Through Him!
In the Bible, John 3:16 says “For God so loved that world, That He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
There’s our proof of this in The Bible.
This is The Gospel, which means “Good News.”
In days of Noah, and Old Testament, sacrifices of lambs and other animals were offered up to God, with blood shed so that God would forgive all of the people of their sins. In The New Testament, we see in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John that our God sent His Own Son to earth to become the One, Ultimate Sacrifice for ALL of mankind. This was His plan. Jesus Christ was the only man for the job. The only thing big enough to cover the sins of all people, or the world. When Jesus shed His Blood on that Cross, Hope was born.
Any parents out there, would you give up your own child to save the whole, entire population of Man from condemnation to Hell by sin?
To know Jesus, one becomes a Christian. How does that work?
Once you’ve made up your mind that you believe that Jesus Christ is The Son of God, you confess that before men prior to your Baptism (See in Acts Chapter 8 and verse 37, ” And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.“)
In the repentance of your sins or turning away from things of sin and the past, with a sincere desire to begin anew, you are baptized. In this Baptism, you are symbolically buried with Christ, going into the water-your sins buried, and washed away. Jesus Himself, though perfect without sin, was baptized as our example in Matthew 3:13-17. You do not have to be Baptized in a Church, but the water needs to be deep enough for immersion. You arise a new creature to walk with God the rest of your days unto eternity! The old you is dead and gone, all sin is wiped away forever, you are now a Child of God. Forgiven. Brand New and paid for in FULL by Jesus!
“What happens if I mess up?”
That’s where the Precious Blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus comes in! “…By His stripes we are Healed” (Isaiah 53:5)
See how important the Cross is?
Jesus’ Death and Sacrifice covers all sin. This means that after becoming a Christian when you feel you have done something wrong or said something you shouldn’t have, (anything that you know or feel isn’t right with God) you simply pray, asking God to forgive you for your sins, in the name of Jesus. Call upon God through Jesus, ending your prayer “In Jesus’ Name, Amen.” The other half of that prayer would be repenting of the sin or sins or any wrongdoing in the flesh. Then, we simply just get back up, and try our best to do as we told God, turn away from that sin or sins, and rise above. Thanks to Jesus, our intervention, any missteps can be forgiven-we just have to mean our repentance with a sincere heart as well, and turn not again.
The Truth is The Bible. The Bible is the way God talks to us. His Word is our strength, and spiritual food. So, in studying the Bible during Church, at a Church Bible study, or studying on our own, we grow in spirit, closer to God, everyday. Plus, being strengthened by The Word of God builds us up to prevail when temptation knocks. The more you know, the better you will be able to handle the difficulties and temptations of life. So, read on, dear friend!
Our lives as Christians are our testimonies to the world that Jesus is The Son of God, He is real, and He can HEAL!!! It’s up to us to spread the Word, and pray for one another.
I am writing this in all sincerity with all of my heart, and every ounce of my being in efforts to reach out to those who are suffering, hurting, in such pain, maybe at the end of their rope. I know what its like to suffer. I’m a former Bulimic, and I’m living with and managing Bipolar disorder, among other things that we humans go through and endure on earth. I care, but ultimately, God Cares. Things have really gone down hill in our world in the last little bit. Though, this post may not answer all of your questions about God, Jesus, or why things are the way they are and such, this is the real deal.
I hope if you do not know Jesus, you will open up your world to Him. If you already have a relationship with Christ, I hope that this post encouraged you or strengthened you in some way.
My verse for you today is this.
Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
There is Peace, Joy, and Healing in Jesus! 🙂
